Video Delay Support
Email help@davidb.app. Include your device (for example, iPhone 16 Pro), your iOS version, and the app version (shown at the bottom of Settings in the app). I read every message and usually reply within a day or two.
Getting started
Prop up your iPhone or iPad where it can see you, set the delay with the orange button at the top, do your rep, and turn around to watch it. The controls fade after a few seconds; tap the screen to bring them back.
Common questions
How do I keep a rep?
Tap Save rep right after you watch it. It saves the last 5, 10, 15, or 30 seconds of the replay. Change the length in Settings. To also add reps to Photos, turn on “Also save reps to Photos.”
How do I use slow motion?
Open a saved rep from the film button. Use the speed buttons (down to ⅛×), the frame-step buttons, or drag the scrubber. Record at 120 or 240 fps for the smoothest slow motion.
How do I draw on the video?
Tap the pencil, pick line, angle, or circle, and drag on the video. Drag a dot to adjust a shape. Lines show their angle. Your drawings stay in place for your next session.
How do I show it on a TV?
Use Screen Mirroring (AirPlay) to an Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible TV, or connect an HDMI adapter. The TV shows the delayed replay full screen.
Why did the frame rate drop?
The phone was getting hot. The app lowers the frame rate to keep running and raises it again after it cools. Shade, a fan, or taking the phone out of a thick case helps.
The camera doesn’t start.
Open the Settings app, then Privacy & Security › Camera, and turn on Video Delay. If another app is using the camera, close it and try again.
Saving to Photos doesn’t work.
Open the Settings app, then Privacy & Security › Photos › Video Delay, and allow adding photos. The app only asks to add videos; it never reads your library.
